Gintel to sponsor IMS Global Congress, Vienna
Gintel will be sponsoring the IMS Global Congress in Vienna, hosted by IIR.
IIR's IMS Global Congress has firmly established itself as an invaluable networking event for IMS professionals, eager to gain insights into the latest developments and fundamental issues surrounding IMS – from migration, interoperability and standards to business models and service development. Gintel will be presenting its flagship application, the Easy Virtual PaBX in the vendor spotlight session. Easy Virtual PaBX is a hosted PBX application optimised for fixed and mobile operators and will also be highlighted in the application showcase. Gintel will be discussing key issues confronting service.
This year sees some exciting changes to the event which promise even more value for those taking part. First, IIR is making 100 free delegate passes available to operators to ensure that they can take advantage of the networking and learning opportunities available despite the current economic climate.
Secondly, in order to encourage more networking and interaction between attendees, the event will feature more informal discussion sessions and some vendor spotlight sessions.
IMS has divided opinion in recent years and, for some, the architecture has failed to deliver on its promise. However, the increasing deployment of IMS architectures by operators suggests that they have realised that it may yet deliver on that promise. IMS is still seen as the main enabler of convergence and, as both LTE and RCS emerge, it may well prove to be the right architecture to connect the IP network with the service side to create profitable new applications and services.
This year’s Congress will enable delegates to learn about the latest in IMS development and deployment and explore the technical and strategic issues that still need to be addressed to optimise operators’ IMS investment. The event will also examine how IMS is driving convergence and assess whether LTE and/or RCS will be the catalysts to unlock its full potential.
Gintel’s Easy Virtual PaBX helps operators maximise returns and profit by targeting the enterprise market. Easy PaBX can be deployed in IMS and pre-IMS networks and includes support for both SIP and IN / CAMEL, allowing it to span legacy and NGN environments, ensuring that service providers continue to benefit from existing network triggers and revenues as well as supporting targeting of new market opportunities.
