Read more ...Gintel Implements IM-SSF Feature to Ensure Consistent Service Delivery and Spur NGN Migration
3GPP ETS 23.002.800 defines the IMS-SSF (IMS Service Switching Function) to provide compatibility between CAMEL service infrastructure and IMS SIP networks. Gintel recently had to implement this functionality to permit the Easy Virtual PaBX application to connect to CAMEL triggers in a legacy GSM network. By using the IM-SSF function, an operator can begin the migration of the service platform to an IMS-like architecture, but ensuring protection of current investments.
